Director of Surgical Services

At Sovah Health - Danville, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director, Community Management to lead our Surgical Services Department. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing strategic direction and oversight to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care and exceptional service to our community.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement departmental goals, plans, and standards that align with our organization's clinical, administrative, and ethical requirements.
- Direct and evaluate departmental operations, including patient care delivery, information technologies, service level determination, and complaint management, to achieve performance and quality control objectives.
- Lead the selection, orientation, and development of departmental staff, including performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and continuing education initiatives.
- Integrate evidence-based practices into departmental operations and clinical protocols to ensure best-in-class care.
Sovah Health - Danville is a 250-bed hospital that serves as a regional healthcare leader, providing comprehensive medical services to our community. Requirements:- Graduate of a Program in Nursing required. Bachelor's degree required.
- Three (3) years' experience as a full-time perioperative supervisory/management role required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) American Heart Association required. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) American Heart Association preferred.
- Current Licensure as a Registered Nurse from the Virginia State Board of Nursing or Compact State required.
