The Clinical Administrator of Specialty Care is responsible for implementing, monitoring, and reinforcing goals and objectives for the development, establishment, and coordination of quality, comprehensive services within the multiple Ephraim McDowell Health Specialty Care Clinics.
Key Responsibilities- Directs and supervises the activities of Practice Managers in accordance with standards of practice established by EMH, federal and state government entities, and healthcare regulatory agencies.
- Contributes to the effective operations of the Organization by demonstrating dependability in job performance.
- Exhibits the F.I.R.S.T. values (Friendliness, Innovation, Respect, Service, and Trust).
- Supports 13 Specialty Practices and approximately 60 Providers.
Work requires only minor physical exertion and/or physical strain. Work environment may involve exposure to disagreeable elements requiring intervention and resolution.
Contacts with OthersAbility to foster cooperation and positive relationships. Requires regular contacts to discuss issues of moderate importance and to respond to inquiries.
Equipment Used/Special Skills RequiredProfessional skills require the ability to apply knowledge to practical issues and allow for development of new methods and procedures. Requires knowledge of theories and practices of a recognized professional field (e.g., nursing, fiscal, quality assurance, information support, laboratory, radiology, etc.) and general knowledge about healthcare services in general.
Minimum Qualifications or Equivalents- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Health Administration, Nursing, or other related field.
- Two to three (2-3) years' experience in clinic operations required. Three to five (3-5) years' clinic or supervisory experience preferred, other business-related experience will be considered.
- Health, dental, and vision insurance are available upon hire date.
