Job Title: Director of Maintenance
Job Summary:
The Director of Maintenance will lead the day-to-day operation of the facility and shift coverage at Graham Hotel Systems Inc. This includes maintaining the working order of guest rooms, meeting spaces, kitchens, and the building exterior.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the maintenance team and contractors to ensure the facility is well-maintained and safe for guests and staff.
- Develop and implement a preventative maintenance program for all hotel equipment.
- Perform minor repairs on plumbing systems and fixtures, and refurbish furniture and fixtures as needed.
- Respond to guest inquiries and ensure guest satisfaction.
- Follow all safety procedures and ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience in maintenance and repair, with a strong background in HVAC systems, mechanical equipment repairs, and building automation systems.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and develop departmental training and operational procedures.
- Ability to communicate effectively with guests and staff, and to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects, and to work at heights.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Working Conditions:
The Director of Maintenance will work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent exposure to noise, dust, and other hazards. The position requires the ability to work at heights, lift and move heavy objects, and to work in a variety of weather conditions.
Education and Certifications:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with a degree in a related field preferred. Certifications in maintenance and repair, such as HVAC or electrical, are also preferred.
