About Our Team:

This team is responsible for overseeing all procurement requests associated with our natural gas and facilities services initiatives. In this role, you will act as a representative for the team, ensuring adherence to established procurement policies, processes, and controls.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conducts Request for Proposals (RFPs) efficiently, negotiates, and independently executes contracts while supporting internal business partners with assigned procurement tasks.
  • Leads the sourcing, negotiation, and contracting process for medium value contracts and commodities.
  • Possesses a working knowledge of contracting practices and General Terms and Conditions (GTC).
  • Collects and interprets market data to understand spending and facilitate data analytics for spend portfolio support.
  • Strategically plans and implements a defined sourcing and contracting framework.
  • Demonstrates proven experience in cost savings, sustainability, and diverse spending concepts and priorities.
  • Acts as a subject matter expert in managing moderately complex situations and larger data sets.
  • Develops supply sources, establishes procurement schedules, and assists in supplier pre-qualification processes.
  • Produces and analyzes Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) scorecards.
  • Monitors contract and supplier performance, including Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for medium complexity categories, reviewing with business groups to enhance future performance and strategy development.
  • Updates, processes, and approves procurement records promptly as directed.
  • Coordinates with end users and suppliers to ensure visibility and communicate updates effectively.
  • Provides support to colleagues, offering timely responses and guidance regarding contract and commodity processing, ensuring tactical support tasks are completed accurately and on time.
  • Identifies and outlines medium complexity issues, engaging small teams to present straightforward proposals and secure buy-in.
Technical Skills and Knowledge:
  • Requires foundational knowledge of procurement/sourcing, supply market trends, and supplier economics.
  • Comprehensive understanding of purchasing and inventory systems.
  • Basic understanding of contract language, terms, and conditions, along with experience in drafting contract agreements.
  • Ability to analyze contracts, terms, and conditions, and understand the implications of contractual language concerning the product, service, and supplier involved.
  • Solid grasp of business and financial principles.
  • Ability to interpret and analyze data to present and elucidate outcomes.
  • Capable of explaining data to all end users and identifying sourcing opportunities from data analysis.
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and influencing abilities.
  • Utilizes available tools and resources, demonstrating a moderate understanding of systems and processes, and proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 products to effectively facilitate sourcing and contracting processes.
  • Project management skills, including the ability to prioritize against time-sensitive deadlines.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree is preferred; equivalent related experience will be considered.
Experience:
  • 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated experience with strategic procurement responsibilities for various commodities, both products and services, in operational procurement and sourcing.
Licenses & Certifications:

Certifications such as Certified Purchasing Manager (C.P.M.), Six Sigma, Lean, Process, or Project Management are desirable.

Compensation and Benefits:

Eversource offers a competitive total rewards program. The annual salary range for this position starts at $88,970.00 to $98,860.00 plus incentive. Salary is commensurate with your experience. Explore our career site for an overview of our benefits.
