Job Summary

AdaptHealth LLC is seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team as a Ventilation Specialist. As a key member of our clinical team, you will provide exceptional patient care to ventilator patients, ensuring optimal outcomes and delivering high-quality respiratory therapy services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide respiratory care to ventilator patients in accordance with AdaptHealth's policies and procedures.
  • Conduct clinical assessments, develop and implement care plans, and provide education to patients and caregivers.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams, physicians, and referral sources to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Utilize clinical expertise to evaluate patient records, ensure accuracy of prescriptions, and document patient care activities.
  • Stay up-to-date with new technologies, ventilator units, and supplies supported by AdaptHealth.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure prompt attention to patient care issues.
  • Document patient care activities, interventions, and communication in a timely and accurate manner.
Requirements
  • Associates degree from an AMA-approved respiratory program.
  • Valid and unrestricted RT clinical license in all states serviced by the branch.
  • One year of clinical experience as a Health Care RT, HME RT, or clinical nursing with Vent experience.
  • Valid and unrestricted driver's license.
Work Environment

As a Respiratory Therapist with AdaptHealth, you will work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, providing care to patients in their homes. You will be required to lift 50 pounds, stand, bend, and sit for extended periods. You must be able to perform one-man CPR and be exposed to unsanitary conditions in some home settings.
