Job Title: Laboratory Technician

About the Role:
Arxada is a global leader in specialty chemicals, committed to solving preservation challenges through better science. We're seeking a skilled Laboratory Technician to join our team in Florham Park/Morristown laboratories. This is a full-time, on-site position, working 9am-5pm, five days a week.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine laboratory tests, including pH, viscosity, FTIR, and titration, using established procedures and methods.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment and consumables, ensuring a clean and safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with the Microbiology team to review media requests, schedule preparation, and ensure timely delivery.
  • Log and distribute samples from suppliers, customers, and external parties, notifying stakeholders as required.
  • Prepare chemical reagents, microbiology media, and standard solutions, adhering to safety protocols.
  • Stock laboratory materials, participate in ordering and receiving chemicals and materials, and maintain a well-organized workspace.
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures, promoting a culture of safety and compliance.
  • Perform light administrative duties, supporting the laboratory team's operational needs.

Requirements & Qualifications:
  • Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or Biology discipline.
  • 2-5 years of experience in a laboratory environment, either academic or industrial.
  • Strong understanding of data integrity and laboratory methods.
  • Knowledge of safety policies, rules, and regulations, with a commitment to compliance.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to lift and carry 25lbs regularly.
