Job Title: Thermal Laboratory Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated Thermal Laboratory Specialist to join our team at BCforward. As a Thermal Laboratory Specialist, you will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and operating an engineering laboratory, including all aspects of organization, cleaning, inventory tracking, safety compliance, and security.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain laboratory equipment, including sensors and data acquisition systems to measure temperature, pressure, and flow.
  • Perform laboratory tests, write test procedures against pre-defined test plans, and troubleshoot test equipment and test setups.
  • Assemble and repair laboratory equipment, including rack-based servers, and perform low-voltage wiring.
  • Ensure laboratory documentation and procedures are up-to-date and followed, including creating new processes and procedures as needed.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with team members and management, and maintain a safe and organized work environment.
  • Familiarity with liquid cooling and data center equipment is a plus.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in laboratory environments.
  • Understanding of experimental design principles and statistical analysis methods.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Excel and Word.
