Position Overview: Finance Director

*Application Process Below*

Farmers Conservation Alliance (FCA) is a dedicated non-profit organization focused on the synergy between agriculture, water, and energy. Established two decades ago, we successfully introduced an innovative fish screen technology to the market, known as the Farmers Screen, which helps preserve aquatic life and maintain clean water supplies.

Our initiatives have expanded to include the Irrigation Modernization Program, aimed at assisting farmers and ranchers in modernizing their water delivery systems. Our staff collaborates with water users, agencies, and organizations to design, finance, and implement large-scale solutions that enhance water delivery systems, reduce operational costs, and promote renewable energy.

  • Identifying trends, risks, and opportunities within the organization to aid in strategic planning.
  • Preparing presentations and reports for executive leadership and external stakeholders.
  • Overseeing the annual audit and federal indirect rate proposal processes.
  • Offering support to the finance team as needed.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of senior financial management experience in a mission-driven organization.
  • Experience in financial management across non-profit, government, and private sectors.

  • Experience with government contracting.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying financial concepts to non-financial professionals.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional collaboration capabilities.

Compensation and Benefits:

We believe that satisfied staff yield the best results. Therefore, we offer flexibility for our team members to engage in activities they enjoy. We provide a competitive salary, vacation, health and dental insurance, and a retirement package.
