Overview

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of PES to join the Behavioral Health department at NYC Health + Hospitals/North Central Bronx.

This 457-bed community hospital provides high-quality care in a friendly and setting, with a range of services including Behavioral Health, Women's Health, Primary Care, Pediatric, Geriatric, and Specialty Ambulatory services.

The hospital has a strong academic affiliation with the James J. Peters VA Medical Center, providing opportunities for teaching and research.

Responsibilities
  1. Direct supervision of attending psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and psychiatric PA staff.
  2. Overseeing the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based care and collaborating with leaders in the department, including in-patient and ambulatory programs, as well as the Emergency Medicine Department.
  3. Assuming a key role in Patient Safety and Clinical Effectiveness.
  4. Providing leadership in undergraduate medical education, including active participation in clinical and didactic teaching of medical students, PA students, psychology interns, and social work students.
  5. Incident review management and participation in departmental IR meetings.
  6. Reviewing and revising guidelines for standards of care to ensure compliance with DOH, CMS, Joint Commission, and OMH standards and regulations.
Qualifications
  • Board Eligible or Board Certified in Adult Psychiatry.
  • Completion of an approved Psychiatry residency training program.
  • MD or DO from an accredited school of medicine.
  • License to practice medicine in the State of NY.
Benefits

The annual total value of the compensation package is estimated at $339,200, which includes the baseline salary, 401(k) contribution, and other factors.

Benefits include:

  • Annual Base Salary: $272,000 based on a 40-hour work week.
  • Projected bonus of up to $40,000 (based on previous year's average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets.
