General Manager Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and Develop Your Team: As a General Manager, you'll be responsible for leading and developing a high-performing team of associates. This includes recruiting, training, and coaching team members to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed.
  • Drive Sales and Growth: You'll be responsible for driving sales and growth at your bakery-cafe by executing company and cafe strategies, managing labor and costs, and maintaining high-quality operations.
  • Ensure Exceptional Guest Experiences: You'll be the face of Panera Bread, ensuring that every customer has an exceptional experience. This includes managing customer relationships, resolving issues, and delivering outstanding service.
  • Manage Operations: As a General Manager, you'll be responsible for managing all aspects of bakery-cafe operations, including inventory management, food safety, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.
Requirements:
  • Three years of management experience (preferably in the food service industry)
  • Proven ability to direct, motivate, coach, and develop others in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven ability to drive positive results and meet sales and growth targets
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends
  • ServSafe certification
  • At least 18 years of age
