Job Overview

This role is essential for ensuring the smooth flow of traffic during the construction phase of various projects. The individual will be tasked with the setup and upkeep of detours, as well as ensuring access for local residents and businesses along the construction route.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct a variety of cleaning and maintenance tasks for city properties and facilities.
  • Clear debris and litter from public areas, including drains.
  • Prepare and organize all necessary equipment and materials for traffic control setup and takedown.
  • Manage traffic control measures and address traffic-related issues as they arise.
  • Operate utility vehicles and trailers for transporting materials and equipment.
  • The organization retains the right to modify job duties as needed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Minimum of one year of relevant experience in Heavy Highway Construction.
  • Thorough understanding of industry standards and practices.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to work at various locations as required by the company.
  • Must be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds repeatedly and performing physical tasks such as walking, stooping, squatting, sitting, and kneeling.
