Service Desk Associate

PeaceHealth is seeking a highly skilled Service Desk Associate to provide technical support for our caregivers and external customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities- Provide first-level support for technology issues, including Epic electronic health record application, printing, computer, and telephone technology issues.
- Resolve technology support issues in a timely manner or escalate issues to appropriate technical support personnel.
- Collaborate with other members of the technical support teams to facilitate troubleshooting and ensure a quality customer service experience.
- Monitor changes in upgrades of technologies and applications, including Epic.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma required; Associate Degree preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in providing IT support or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Preferred: Clinical healthcare experience and IT customer service experience.
- EPIC Certification preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and customer support skills, including a clear speaking voice with excellent diction and tone.
- Strong organization skills and ability to prioritize work to complete tasks in a timely manner.
- Skilled in core Microsoft Office suite of products.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and ability to analyze and interpret clinical documentation.
- Knowledge of or experience working with issue management and tracking systems and related service desk management and monitoring tools.
- Ability to work as a team member and independently as needed.
Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
Predominantly operates in an office environment.
Mental/Visual Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.
