Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to join our team at Los Alamos National Laboratory. As a Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring that the design solution fully meets its requirements and design intent. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and subject matter experts to support project execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage requirements, requirements traceability reports, Verification and Validation (V&V) plans, qualification plans, and test and acceptance documents.
  • Apply systems engineering principles to ensure that the design solution meets its requirements and design intent.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subject matter experts to support project execution.
  • Develop and maintain systems engineering processes and procedures that contribute to product quality and mission assurance.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited college or university.
  • Minimum of 6 years of practical work experience in systems engineering.
  • Experience with systems engineering tools such as Innoslate or Magic Cyber-Systems Engineer.
  • Strong understanding of systems development and general engineering principles.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced engineering or technical degree.
  • Experience in leading integrated project teams.
  • Systems Engineering Professional Certification from INCOSE at the Associate or Certified level.
  • Experience with LANL COE including administrative procedures and standards.
