Construction Engineer III

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Engineer III to join our team at Longenecker & Associates. As a Construction Engineer III, you will be responsible for ensuring that construction and maintenance projects are executed in accordance with approved project documents. This includes monitoring facility maintenance and construction activities, providing input during scoping, design, execution, and project closeout, and expediting project execution by identifying issues, coordinating technical solutions, and providing timely guidance to the constructor.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor facility maintenance and construction activities to ensure compliance with approved project documents.
- Provide input during scoping, design, execution, and project closeout to ensure baseline documents are accurate and design documents are adhered to.
- Expedite project execution by identifying issues, coordinating technical solutions, and providing timely guidance to the constructor.
- Lead and mentor junior field engineers and engineering technologists in their design review, pre-construction coordination, and construction oversight activities.
- Review engineering submittals and ensure compliance with engineering drawings and specifications.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited college or university.
- 6 years of practical work experience or 14 years of industry experience.
- Current registration as an Engineer in Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE) is highly desirable.
- Expert knowledge of construction engineering principles, construction work planning and control methods, and facility maintenance and installation techniques.
- Ability to work in a diverse work environment and fulfill and promote L&A core values.
