Position Overview:

The role is focused on cultivating independent account business, prioritizing overall profitability through both new sales initiatives and deepening existing account relationships. The Sales Manager will advocate for and promote company-branded products while achieving brand sales targets. This position may also involve supporting customer service efforts for regional and national chain clients, enhancing the company's visibility in the market and maximizing market share. The individual will collaborate as a team member within the department and organization, undertaking any assigned duties to optimally serve the company.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identifies and generates new business by analyzing the sales territory and customer base; samples products with current and prospective clients; develops a comprehensive sales strategy that includes time and territory management; tailors sales approaches for individual clients; and delivers impactful sales presentations.
  • Continuously increases sales and profit margins to achieve set sales and margin objectives.
  • Establishes new customer accounts by determining pricing structures; collaborates with the Credit Department for initial authorizations; coordinates with other personnel for order scheduling, deliveries, etc.; and conducts initial follow-ups to ensure delivery and satisfaction.
  • Ensures high levels of customer satisfaction by providing exceptional service, working closely with other personnel to address and resolve customer issues. May also be responsible for making deliveries in urgent situations.
  • Enhances business with existing customers through product penetration to maximize the profitability of each account.
  • Reduces accounts receivable challenges by monitoring compliance with credit terms and addressing any issues promptly.
  • Maintains awareness of pricing trends within the sales territory, especially for market-driven or commodity products, to ensure competitive pricing.
  • Performs additional related duties as assigned.
