Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Youth Treatment Specialist to join our team at Wisconsin Community Services. As a key member of our therapeutic milieu, you will play a vital role in supporting the emotional and behavioral needs of youth in our care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Therapeutic Interactions: Provide coaching and guidance to youth in developing skills and strategies for managing emotions and behaviors.
  • Milieu Management: Ensure a safe and supportive environment for youth, including conducting room checks, searches, and maintaining a clean and organized living space.
  • Supervision and Safety: Provide active supervision and sight and sound monitoring to ensure the safety and well-being of youth, including responding to crisis situations and de-escalating conflicts.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Accurately document youth participation in activities and interactions, as well as any notable incidents or concerns.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other staff members to ensure seamless care and support for youth, including communicating with supervisory and clinical staff as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: Previous experience working with youth in a therapeutic or crisis stabilization setting preferred.
  • Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work effectively in a team environment, and a commitment to providing high-quality care and support to youth.
  • Certifications: Valid driver's license and automobile insurance required.
Working Conditions
  • Work Environment: State Certified Youth Crisis Stabilization Facility.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift 30 pounds, drive, and engage in physical interventions as needed.
