Job Title: Director of Construction

Black Lion Investment Group, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Construction to lead our luxury real estate projects from inception to completion.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage project teams, including senior project managers, project architects, and interior designers.
  • Develop detailed construction plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring alignment with company goals and financial objectives.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are executed effectively and meet design and quality standards.
  • Oversee the selection and management of general contractors and subcontractors, ensuring all work is performed to high standards.
  • Implement rigorous quality control procedures to ensure all construction work meets Black Lion's luxury standards.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and compliance with specifications.
  • Address any construction issues promptly and effectively, ensuring solutions align with the overall project vision and quality expectations.
  • Prepare and manage detailed construction budgets, including contingency planning.
  • Monitor project expenditures and schedules, adjusting as necessary to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Provide regular updates on project status, including budget and schedule performance, to senior management.
  • Ensure all projects comply with local building codes, zoning laws, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and enforce comprehensive safety plans to maintain a safe working environment on all construction sites.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks, such as safety hazards, regulatory compliance issues, and financial risks.
  • Conduct safety audits and address any violations promptly to maintain compliance.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field. A master's degree or additional professional certifications (e.g., PMP, LEED AP) is preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction management, with a focus on luxury residential and commercial projects.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing high-end real estate projects from inception to completion.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.
  • Proficiency in construction management software and tools.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and safety standards in the construction industry.
