Position Summary

The selected candidate will oversee the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) projects essential for deploying EnergyX's pilot and demonstration facilities. This role requires collaboration with a multidisciplinary team of scientists, researchers, and mining specialists to execute our comprehensive field strategy. The individual will serve as the primary liaison for daily communications with major local and international EPC firms, ensuring clarity in expectations, deliverables, and project interfaces to guarantee successful facility deployment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the complete lifecycle of pilot and demonstration plant deployment projects, ensuring execution aligns with timelines, budgets, safety protocols, and quality standards.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, construction, and operations, to formulate and implement detailed project plans and strategies.
  • Facilitate project meetings, establishing clear objectives, milestones, and deliverables while ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Oversee project budgets, forecasts, and expenditures, proactively identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
  • Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers for material and equipment procurement, including contract negotiations as necessary.
  • Ensure adherence to safety regulations, environmental standards, and quality assurance procedures throughout project execution, promoting a culture of safety and compliance.
  • Encourage a collaborative and positive work environment, providing leadership and support to project teams while fostering innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements related to pilot and demonstration plant deployment, integrating new insights into project strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related discipline; advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., PMP) is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience managing EPC projects in either an owner's or contractor's capacity.
  • Strong project management capabilities with a proven ability to plan, organize, and prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with a history of motivating teams, resolving conflicts, and achieving project goals.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools for scheduling, budgeting, and reporting, particularly with strong experience in Office 365, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Project, and the Autodesk suite.
  • In-depth knowledge of safety regulations, environmental compliance, quality control procedures, and risk management principles in EPC projects.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as required and adapt to evolving project needs.
  • Experience in a startup or entrepreneurial environment is highly desirable, showcasing agility, creativity, and a results-oriented mindset.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish is required.
