Position Overview

As a Certified Medical Assistant at Texas Health Care PLLC, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and support within our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Welcome and prepare patients for their appointments with healthcare providers.
  • Deliver general patient care by adhering to established protocols and procedures.
  • Accurately obtain and document vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration, height, weight, and any relevant medical history.
  • Assist healthcare providers during in-office procedures.
  • Record patient care plans, test results, and examination findings in the medical records as directed.
  • Coordinate patient scheduling for diagnostic tests and follow up to ensure completion, communicating results and care plans as instructed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of patient exam rooms, ensuring instruments are prepared, cleaned, and sterilized according to standards.
  • Address non-routine issues by escalating them to the practice administrator or healthcare providers.
  • Complete safety checklists and quality control measures as required.
  • Safeguard patient privacy and ensure safety protocols are followed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the practice administrator or healthcare providers.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with staff and patients.
  • Comprehensive understanding of examination, diagnostic, and treatment room procedures.
  • Proficient knowledge of medical terminology and abbreviations.
  • Ability to demonstrate sound judgment and maintain composure in emergency situations.
  • Exhibit respect and compassion towards patients and their families.
  • Proficient computer skills, particularly with medical management software.

  • Possess strong listening, written, and verbal communication skills.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in a clinical environment.
  • CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) certification required, with maintenance of certification.
  • Willingness to accept instructions and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Maintain confidentiality and discretion regarding patient matters.
