Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veteran Services Coordinator to join our team at Volunteers of America Massachusetts.

This is a full-time position with a hybrid schedule, offering the opportunity to work both remotely and in our Lawrence office. The salary range for this role is $52,000-$55,000 per year.

The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for supporting veterans and their families in need. As a Veteran Services Coordinator, you will play a critical role in providing outreach services to veterans and connecting them with resources to maintain or obtain permanent housing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with community-based programs, hospitals, continuums of care, housing authorities, and emergency shelters to identify veterans in need of services.
  • Complete schedules, logs, and reports on outreach activities, including data on referral, intake, assessment, and disposition/assignment.
  • Work collaboratively with case managers to identify relevant service categories, service options, and service priorities for veteran clients.
  • Build a strong network of referral sources to generate a quantifiable flow of referrals and support the well-being and stability of veterans and their families.
