Job Title: Pool Team Lead

Goldfish Swim School is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Pool Team Lead. In this role, you will be responsible for managing assigned shifts, supervising on-deck employees, maintaining pool environment, and interacting with students and parents/guardians.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment where no two days are the same. As a Pool Team Lead, you will be expected to provide leadership, discipline, and constructive feedback to instructors and deck teachers to ensure quality delivery of the Goldfish Swim School curriculum. You will also conduct daily pre-shift meetings, prepare the deck for the shift, and interact with parents/guardians to discuss student progress.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children, excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills, and the ability to work well under pressure. They must also be able to pass background examinations (included with training) and possess a high school diploma or GED. Two or more years of experience as a swim instructor are required, while experience as a youth sports instructor/coach, camp counselor, and/or teacher are preferred.

Responsibilities
  • Manage assigned shifts, including supervision of on-deck employees and maintenance of pool environment
  • Provide leadership, discipline, and constructive feedback to instructors and deck teachers
  • Conduct daily pre-shift meetings and prepare the deck for the shift
  • Interact with parents/guardians to discuss student progress
  • Act as a GSS 'ambassador' to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Complete daily Deck Supervisor logs on assigned shift and monitor students' attendance
  • Coordinate tasks required to ensure the cleanliness of the pool facility
  • Arrange for replacements for absent employees
  • Maintain appropriate levels of chemicals for the pool environment
  • Act as substitute swim instructor when necessary
  • Suggest areas for improvement and implement corrective action through in-services or other training
  • Participate in training/in-services as required
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Two or more years of experience as a swim instructor
  • Experience as a youth sports instructor/coach, camp counselor, and/or teacher (preferred)
  • Lifeguard, CPR/AED, and First Aid certifications
Compensation

$15.00 - $17.00 per hour
