Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Speech Language Pathology Assistant to join our team at Adelbrook Inc. The successful candidate will assist the Speech Language Pathologist in providing high-quality services to meet individual student needs, implement specially designed instruction plans, document students' performance, and collaborate with the SLP and teaching staff.

About Our Program

Adelbrook's Academies are private special education programs certified by the State Department of Education to serve students with autism, neurodevelopmental disorders, emotional disturbance, and learning disabilities from pre-Kindergarten through grade 12. Our Transitional Academy focuses on life-long learning and life skills, employment proficiencies through meaningful work experiences, and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Speech Language Pathologist in conducting speech-language and hearing screenings, documenting patient/client performance, and reporting results.
  • Implement specially designed instruction plans developed by the Speech Language Pathologist, document students' progress, and monitor data collection methods as directed.
  • Collaborate with the SLP and teaching staff to design appropriate learning activities and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Perform clerical duties, including preparing materials, scheduling activities, and maintaining equipment.
  • Support the supervising Speech Language Pathologist in research projects, in-service training, and public relations programs.
Requirements:
  • Associates degree in speech pathology or related field.
  • Completion of speech-language pathology assistant certificate.
  • Two years' experience preferred, with strong behavior management skills and knowledge of Autism Spectrum Disorders and Intellectual & Behavioral Disorders.
  • Demonstrated good judgment, ability to establish effective rapport with students, families, and colleagues, and commitment to exceeding standards of professional and ethical practices.
Compensation and Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary of $45,000 - $55,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications. Additionally, we provide comprehensive benefits, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
