PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Cultivate and maintain customer relationships within a collaborative sales framework.

• Oversee delivery schedules as outlined by the logistics team; address any issues that arise during the order fulfillment process (e.g., delivery discrepancies, shortages, inventory issues).

• Communicate and manage accounts receivable as needed, collaborating with the finance department and clients; ensure collection of all outstanding balances in accordance with established credit terms.

• Utilize additional resources to capitalize on key market opportunities and establish new client accounts.

• Generate new business; identify potential clients through market research, business directories, referrals from current clients, participation in professional organizations, and attendance at industry events.

• Stay informed about market trends, product advancements, and competitor offerings; share insights with clients as part of the value-added services provided.

• Travel to existing and prospective clients to ensure timely product delivery, which may involve lifting and carrying items weighing up to 75lbs.

SUPERVISION:

• No direct reports. RELATIONSHIPS

• Internal: District Sales Manager, Regional Sales Manager, VP of Local Sales, Accounting/Credit Department, Merchandising and Marketing, Operations, and Customer Support.

• External: Clients, suppliers, potential customers.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Frequently operates outside the office, engaging with clients in varying weather and temperature conditions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• At least 1 year of sales experience preferred.

• Experience in the foodservice industry, culinary arts, restaurant management, or hospitality preferred.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills along with effective presentation abilities.

• Proven ability to build relationships both internally and externally, with a knack for cold calling to generate new business.

• Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.

• A competitive spirit and results-oriented mindset.

• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and negotiation skills.

• Collaborative approach to working with internal and external stakeholders.

• Proficient in computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office; experience with Customer Relationship Management tools (e.g., Salesforce) is preferred. EDUCATION
