Job Description

We're seeking a talented Portfolio Analyst and Administrative professional to join our dynamic team. In this role, you'll play a crucial part in providing comprehensive portfolio analytics, presentations, trade support, and contributing to our mission of being stewards of wealth and well-being for generations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Portfolio Analytics and Reporting
    • Utilize Morningstar Workstation to generate detailed portfolio analyses, performance reports, and client-facing presentations.
    • Collaborate with the Vice President of Trading, Operations & Portfolio Administration to provide insightful portfolio reviews, market commentary, and recommendations.
    • Assist in the preparation of client materials, including investment proposals, performance reviews, and market updates.
    • Conduct research and analysis on market trends, economic indicators, and industry developments to inform trading decisions.
    • Stay updated on regulatory changes and market developments that may impact trading activities.
  • Trading and Operations Support
    • Learn and become proficient in the use of Black Diamond's trading platform and data analytics tools.
    • Support the firm's trading and operations team by executing trades, rebalancing portfolios, monitoring account activity, and ensuring accurate record-keeping.
    • Assist with the resolution of client inquiries and the implementation of investment strategies.
  • Client Portfolio Review and Recommendations
    • Support the Vice President of Trading, Operations & Portfolio Administration in reviewing client portfolios and developing recommendations to align with the firm's investment strategies and client objectives.
    • Collaborate with the advisory team to ensure a seamless onboarding experience for new clients.

Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field
  • 2-5 years of experience in a portfolio analyst or investment operations role
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
