Job Responsibilities

  • Execute bench work following established scratch procedures as needed.
  • Prepare and shape products according to specifications based on scratch recipes.
  • Bake items using the appropriate time and temperature as outlined in recipes.
  • Correctly place products in the proof box, adjust controls, and secure the door to achieve the desired size and shape.
  • Prepare and fry donuts in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Manage product storage in the freezer to maintain freshness.
  • Demonstrate effective suggestive selling techniques and provide samples when suitable.
  • Prioritize safety in all aspects of work for team members, customers, and products.
  • Deliver exemplary customer service by welcoming customers and assisting them in locating desired products.
  • Possess sufficient knowledge to answer customer inquiries and make recommendations.
  • Handle products and equipment according to food safety and safety standards to ensure a secure shopping environment.
  • Maintain cleanliness of equipment, surfaces, utensils, and the work area, including backroom, coolers, and freezers, to comply with safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Bake prepared and scratch products for display cases, ensuring proper rotation and adherence to code dating procedures for freshness.
  • Follow safety and sanitation protocols, emergency procedures, and housekeeping standards to meet departmental expectations.
  • Accurately document special orders for bakery products to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Understand the ingredients and their roles in the production of scratch baked goods.
  • Gather necessary baking ingredients in preparation for baking operations, including all scratch recipes.
  • Assist in maintaining the efficiency of the bakery backroom, cooler, and freezer by unloading deliveries.
  • Support other areas as needed.
