Bakery Cake Decorator

We are seeking a skilled Bakery Cake Decorator to join our team at Whole Foods Market. As a key member of our bakery team, you will be responsible for creating and decorating cakes, tarts, pastries, and special-order items that meet our high quality standards.

• Decorate and Finish Cakes and Pastries: Use your artistic skills to build and finish all specialty bakery goods, ensuring every detail is just right.
• Support Team Members: Provide guidance and support for Bakery Decorator Apprentices and other Team Members.
• Meet Customer Needs: Provide excellent customer service, addressing customers' needs in a timely and effective manner.
• Maintain a Clean Environment: Maintain a clean and sanitary working and shopping environment, adhering to Whole Foods Market cleanliness and safety standards.

• Experience: Minimum of 6-12 months retail or restaurant experience, with prior experience in a professional bakery or grocery retail preferred.
• Skill Requirements: Efficient cake and pastry decorating skills, including intermediate piping techniques and the ability to create decorative flowers and borders.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 50 pounds, stand/walk for 6-8 hours in an 8-hour workday, and work in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency.
