About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Account Executive to join our dynamic sales team at WVTM, the NBC affiliate in Birmingham, AL. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for selling advertising to local businesses and negotiating impressions and rates with ad agencies.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a talented team of professionals who are passionate about delivering powerful multi-platform marketing solutions to create partnerships that retain and grow our client base. You will report directly to our Local Sales Manager and play a crucial role in achieving individual sales goals while contributing to our company's success.

Responsibilities
  • Sell advertising across all available platforms to generate revenue.
  • Prospect, contact, and present to new businesses to develop new revenue streams.
  • Develop strategic partnerships with local businesses to drive growth and retention.
  • Manage an active account/client list to ensure timely communication and follow-up.
  • Create customized sales proposals that align with station strategies.
  • Achieve individual sales targets while collaborating with our dynamic sales team.

Requirements
  • 1+ years of experience in media or digital sales, or a similar sales field.
  • Experience in developing new business and non-traditional business opportunities.
  • Strong negotiation skills to secure deals with clients.
  • Able to work in a consultative customer-focused business environment.
  • Self-motivated and accountable within a goal-structured organization.
  • Able to work effectively as part of a team to achieve common goals.
  • Experience selling to business owners and understanding their needs.
  • Familiarity with qualitative research to inform sales strategies.

Compensation
The estimated salary for this role is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and performance.
