Job Overview
The Property Leasing Specialist acts as a representative for Tricon and plays a crucial role in stimulating leasing activities within the market. This position involves establishing connections with potential tenants to assist them in discovering ideal homes for themselves and their families. Property Leasing Specialists engage in all facets of marketing and leasing our available and upcoming properties.
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following duties:
- Foster positive and impactful relationships with assigned prospects, real estate agents, and brokers in a courteous and professional manner, prioritizing exceptional customer service above all.
- Achieve and/or surpass all monthly performance targets.
- Manage all leasing operations, including pre-qualifying applicants and collecting complete applications.
- Oversee all aspects of lead management within Tricon's CRM system, including appointment confirmations, follow-ups, and documentation, as well as scheduling modifications and organization.
- Handle individual MLS account activities related to marketing products and managing advertised promotions as necessary.
- Build relationships within the local community and serve as the brand ambassador for the organization.
- Conduct property inspections on older homes in marketing to ensure quality assurance for prospective tours as needed.
- Perform occupancy checks, assist with inspections, and post notices as required.
- Participate in weekly mandatory sales meetings with management to discuss lead management updates, property inspection feedback, and recommendations or challenges related to leasing.
- Assist the Leasing Manager in monitoring Tricon and other relevant websites to ensure accurate pricing, amenities listings, and photographs are available for all properties.
- Stay informed about market conditions and trends.
To excel in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications:
- Working knowledge of state Multiple Listing Service (MLS) where applicable.
- Familiarity with Yardi is preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills, strong organizational abilities, and attention to detail are essential.
- Basic financial understanding with the capability to utilize mobile office electronic tools.
- Ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment while meeting both individual and team objectives.
- Capacity to effectively embody company core values in interactions with both internal and external customers.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- ACTIVE REAL ESTATE LICENSE required - As a Tricon employee, you would be required to hold your license and will not be permitted to practice Real Estate while employed. Exceptions will only be considered in rare circumstances and with prior approval.
- Licensed driver with an insured vehicle.
- Previous experience in property management, preferably with single-family residences.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel is advantageous.
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this role, including:
- Frequent requirement to sit, talk, and hear.
- Occasional requirement to stand, walk, use hands to manipulate objects, reach with hands and arms, and stoop, kneel, or crouch.
- Occasional lifting and/or moving of up to 10 pounds.
- Vision abilities required for this position include close vision, distance vision, and depth perception.
