Position Overview

Huntington Ingalls Industries is looking for a skilled professional to join our organization as a Digital Signal Processing (DSP) Expert. In this capacity, you will be tasked with the development, maintenance, and improvement of software related to digital signal processing. Collaboration with a diverse team will be essential as you work to translate processing models into tangible hardware implementations. The ideal candidate will possess a robust foundation in Physics, Mathematics, or Electrical Engineering, complemented by at least 3 years of relevant experience in the field of digital signal processing. A background in cellular or satellite communications, wireless protocols, and data analysis is also necessary. Excellent communication abilities and teamwork skills are critical for achieving success in this position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance software for digital signal processing
  • Provide updates and reports to key stakeholders
  • Assess new tools and technologies to optimize processing workflows
  • Perform additional job-related tasks as required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++, MATLAB, and Python
  • Experience with CUDA/FPGA signal processing and RF testing equipment
  • Familiarity with tools like X-Midas, GNU Radio, and/or REDHAWK is advantageous
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • Capability to operate within a cloud computing environment
