Job Overview: The Lead Host/Hostess plays a crucial role in welcoming and seating guests, ensuring a smooth flow of patrons in and out of the dining area. The Cashier is responsible for processing payments and managing guest transactions efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • All team members are expected to uphold Kiowa's Guest Service Standards consistently, ensuring exceptional service on every shift.
  • Maintain a high level of guest satisfaction, exceeding expectations in a timely manner.
  • Assist in the development of weekly schedules for the host/cashier team.
  • Provide training for new staff members in all relevant duties.
  • Assign additional responsibilities to team members as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with opening and closing procedures.
  • Maintain a pleasant atmosphere in the dining area, including temperature, music, and lighting.
  • Keep the host stand organized, clean, and well-stocked.
  • Greet and seat all guests promptly and courteously.
  • Accommodate guests with special needs and ensure their comfort.
  • Manage guest flow and assist with table resets.
  • Thank departing guests and encourage their return.
  • Handle cash and payment processing accurately and securely.
  • Maintain cleanliness at the cashier stand and ensure all supplies are available.
  • Complete all other assigned duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in guest service, including cash handling.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong organizational and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent guest service and teamwork abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Basic math skills and ability to handle cash transactions.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage multiple tasks independently.
  • Willingness to work collaboratively with all departments.

Physical Requirements: This position requires frequent standing, walking, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. The work environment includes exposure to loud noises and potentially hazardous materials.

Conditions of Employment: Candidates must pass a pre-employment drug test and background investigation. Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license are required.
