Job Description

At Catholic Charities Worcester County, we are seeking a dedicated Recovery Specialist to join our team in the Women's Recovery Program. This 3-6 month residential program provides a voluntary, supportive environment for women struggling with substance use disorder and co-occurring enhanced disorders.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the human services field, with a focus on substance use and co-occurring disorders within the Recovery Home model of treatment. A demonstrated knowledge of addiction and co-occurring disorders, as well as experience in the skills and techniques of a Recovery Specialist, is essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance and direction to residents to ensure conformance with program policies.
  • Oversee resident activities and participate in ensuring the day-to-day operations of the program support the culture of recovery.
  • Work collaboratively with registered nurses and on-site psychiatric assistance to achieve sobriety and stability for program participants.

Requirements:

  • CPR-First Aid certification and training in Overdose Prevention / Narcan.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the human services field with a special knowledge in substance use and co-occurring disorders within the Recovery Home model of treatment.
  • Base of knowledge from introductory courses in addiction and co-occurring disorders, as well as course experience in the skills and techniques of a Recovery Specialist.
  • Certified Alcohol Drug Counselor (CADC); Licensed Alcohol Drug Counselor II (LADC-II; or LADC-Asst.) certification(s) preferred.

Work Schedule:

Sunday - Thursday: 7am - 3pm, 3pm - 11pm

Tuesday - Saturday: 3pm - 11pm

Friday and Saturday: 11pm - 7am, 3pm - 11pm

Per Diem schedules are also available.
