AAI is seeking a dedicated Help Desk Specialist to provide essential support for the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Region 8. The EPA plays a crucial role in safeguarding the environment and public health while promoting sustainable economic growth. This position involves delivering comprehensive IT support to ensure the smooth operation of end-user computing environments.

Key Responsibilities:

The Help Desk Specialist will be responsible for:

  • Delivering efficient technical support to users and resolving basic technical issues.
  • Providing assistance for desktop computers, laptops, and mobile devices.
  • Setting up audiovisual equipment and troubleshooting VoIP technology.
  • Analyzing and resolving general PC and laptop problems.
  • Collaborating with team members to identify issues and develop solutions.
  • Communicating effectively with users of varying technical backgrounds.
  • Applying knowledge of current information technologies and their implications.
  • Maintaining hardware and software, ensuring updates and security measures are in place.
  • Supporting compliance activities related to environmental regulations.
Qualifications:

To qualify for this role, candidates should possess:

  • A minimum of three years of experience in troubleshooting desktop and laptop systems.
  • At least one year of experience with mobile devices, including tablets and smartphones.
  • Experience in a Service Desk environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with MS Windows operating systems and MS Office applications.

Additional Requirements:

  • Successful candidates will need to obtain an EPA Clearance post-offer.
