The FLMP United States Courts is in search of a qualified individual to fill the role of Budget Analyst. This position is essential in supporting the financial planning and management processes within the organization. The selected candidate will be responsible for assisting in the development of the annual budget and related financial strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the formulation and monitoring of the annual budget and spending plan.
- Conduct thorough research and analysis to inform budget recommendations.
- Maintain oversight of financial allocations and spending, making adjustments as necessary.
- Prepare and analyze budget records and generate ad hoc financial reports.
- Execute and oversee spending plans upon receipt of budget allotments.
- Recommend actions for reallocating funds in response to emergencies or shortfalls.
- Participate in the review and approval process for significant purchases.
- Develop annual spending plans that account for personnel costs and operational needs.
- Perform data analysis and modeling based on various financial scenarios.
- Ensure timely submission of required financial reports to the appropriate offices.
- Collaborate with a team to conduct annual audits of financial processes.
- Maintain comprehensive records of all financial activities, including procurement and accounts payable.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of two years of specialized experience in financial management, including budgeting, accounting, or auditing. A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential.
