Job Summary:

The City of Peoria is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sports Field Maintenance Site Lead to oversee the maintenance of parks and sports facilities. This is a part-time position that requires a flexible schedule, with an estimated 18-30 hours per week.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform a variety of skilled tasks while inspecting and maintaining athletic fields, grounds, and park amenities, using a variety of specialty tools and equipment.
  • Assist with the application of drying materials and tarp pulling on fields during inclement weather.
  • Open, close, and secure parks and park facilities.
  • Regularly communicate with facility users and team personnel.
  • Assist with turf maintenance, including resodding, power washing, and power brooming edges.
  • Assist with the reconditioning of fields, including mounds, home plates, base passes, infield edges, etc.
  • Paint fields, foul lines, and logos.

Requirements:

  • 6-12 months of moderate previous experience in the same or similar maintenance position.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Arizona Driver's License upon hire.
