Parks and Facilities Maintenance Coordinator Opportunity

The City of Peoria Parks and Recreation Department is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Parks and Facilities Maintenance Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our facilities services division, you will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing the daily maintenance of our community pools, neighborhood parks, community parks, and the Peoria Sports Complex.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and oversee daily maintenance of facilities and equipment
  • Provide direct support to the facilities services division
  • Oversee full-time staff and ensure effective team management
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations
  • Collaborate with other departments to achieve departmental goals
Requirements:
  • High school graduation or equivalency
  • Minimum of three years of moderate previous experience in facilities maintenance and operations
  • Three years of facilities experience, including plumbing, lighting, and HVAC knowledge
  • Attainment of Certified Pool Operator (CPO) and Chlorine Safe Handling Certifications within six months of hire
  • Physical stamina and endurance, with the ability to lift between 10 and 25 pounds
  • A valid driver's license is required upon hire
