Elementary School Maintenance Supervisor

Key Responsibilities:
- Open the campus and perform daily safety checks.
- Communicate with custodial staff to ensure the needs of staff and administration are met.
- Participate in setting up for breakfast and lunch.
- Clean up after breakfast and lunch, including trash removal and floor cleaning.
- Inspect school buildings and grounds daily for needed attention and/or repairs.
- Establish and prioritize maintenance repairs.
- Process work orders, maintain supply inventory, and recommend purchases of tools and equipment.
- Strive to promote the safety, health, and comfort of students, teachers, and staff.
Requirements:
- A high school diploma or GED, and at least five years of custodial or maintenance experience, preferably in a supervisory role or in a school setting.
- Must possess or obtain an Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
- Ability to perform strenuous physical activity, including lifting items up to 50 lbs and pushing items up to 120 lbs.
- Ability to climb ladders and work from heights and within confined spaces.
- Demonstrate knowledge of shut-off for all major mechanical systems.
- Available for emergency calls.
- Ability to read, write, and speak effectively.
- Possess a current Arizona driver's license and maintain a good driving record.
- Ability to withstand exposure to outdoor temperatures and various grasses, pollens, cleaning compounds, insecticides, etc.
- Ability to maintain positive working relationships with students, school personnel, and the public.
