Position Summary

We are currently seeking a dedicated Technology Support Specialist to address our IT requirements. Our on-site and remote teams will depend on your approachable demeanor, technical expertise, and prompt support for resolving network, hardware, and software challenges across diverse platforms. This role also involves optimizing computer system functionalities by analyzing technical applications and proposing enhancements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install and configure software and hardware, including desktop and laptop computers, printers, and networking devices.
  • Maintain accurate records of computer inventory and track the receipt of computer-related materials.
  • Perform necessary maintenance on equipment and software, ensuring the accuracy and current status of all hardware and licensing inventories.
  • Provide timely technical troubleshooting, repair, and problem resolution support for staff, collaborating with all departments to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Assess expansions or enhancements by analyzing workload and capacity of computer systems.
  • Manage system security, data backups, and software updates.
  • Achieve computer system objectives by gathering relevant data, evaluating options, and recommending actionable solutions.
  • Confirm program objectives and specifications by testing new applications and ensuring compliance with established standards.
  • Enhance existing programs by reviewing objectives, evaluating proposed changes, and implementing modifications.
  • Evaluate vendor-supplied software by assessing user objectives and testing compatibility with existing systems.
  • Maximize the use of hardware and software by training users and providing clear instructions.
  • Document hardware and software changes to maintain historical records.
  • Stay updated with professional knowledge by attending workshops, reviewing publications, and engaging with professional networks.
  • Contribute to team efforts by achieving related results as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of professional IT experience.
  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Experience in managing IT systems and applications, troubleshooting, and resolving issues.
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP protocols and LAN/WAN configurations.
  • Familiarity with Windows and MAC operating systems.
  • Experience in hardware setup, including network design and implementation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, including Office, SharePoint, DevOps, Teams, and Intune.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn complex technical aspects of software applications.
  • Self-motivated with a high degree of initiative and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with technical and non-technical personnel.
  • Experience with CRM systems, preferably Salesforce.
  • Proven skills in vendor relationship management.
  • Ability to remain composed in challenging situations.
