Overview

As a Final Assembler at Universal Avionics, you will engage in various electronic and mechanical assembly tasks on printed circuit boards and mechanical components, adhering to detailed specifications. This includes the manual assembly of harnesses, sub-assemblies, and final products.

Key Responsibilities

Under general oversight, you will utilize visual aids, schematics, and both verbal and written instructions to execute assembly tasks. Proficiency in reading and comprehending procedures and processes is essential. Tasks may be intricate, requiring personal judgment to address challenges. Certain roles may necessitate industry-standard certifications.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

A high school diploma or equivalent (GED); or one to five years of relevant experience and/or training; or a suitable combination of education and experience.

Language Proficiency

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety regulations, operational and maintenance guidelines, procedural manuals, and company policies.

Mathematical Proficiency

Ability to perform basic mathematical functions, read measuring instruments such as scales and rulers, and calculate tolerances.

Reasoning Skills

Ability to apply common sense based on standard input to execute detailed instructions. Capable of addressing issues involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Proficiency

To perform this role successfully, individuals should be familiar with Microsoft Windows software and operate MFG-specific software applications.

Certifications

May require industry-standard certifications.

Supervisory Role

This position does not entail supervisory responsibilities.
