Job Summary

The Behavioral Services Technician plays a vital role in the patient care team, contributing to the well-being and comfort of patients during their stay by providing direct and indirect patient care under the direction of the registered nurse.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care and support in a fast-paced environment
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Assist with patient assessments, interventions, and evaluations
  • Participate in crisis prevention and intervention efforts
  • Support patients with mental health needs and provide emotional support
Requirements
  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
  • State Maine CNA Certification preferred
  • Basic Life Support certification required
  • 1 year of experience in Behavioral Health Services
  • College training in mental health technology, behavioral science, social work, or rehabilitation therapy may be substituted for experience
