Patient Care Associate

Callen-Lorde Community Health Center is a leading provider of LGBTQ+ healthcare services. We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Care Associate to join our dynamic medical team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors with a warm and welcoming demeanor.
- Manage front desk reception duties, including answering phones, scheduling appointments, and checking in/out patients.
- Maintain efficient patient flow and coordinate with medical staff to minimize wait times.
- Assist with patient registration, including collecting and verifying billing and payment information.
- Provide administrative support to clinical staff, including managing medical records and assisting with patient follow-up.
- Handle patient inquiries and direct them to appropriate resources or staff members.
- Ensure the front desk and waiting areas are clean, organized, and welcoming.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience in a medical service environment, specifically with front desk activities preferred.
- Knowledge of Federal & NY State patient privacy regulations/laws a plus.
