Job Summary

The Electrophysiology Lab at UC Davis Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cardiovascular Technician to join our team. As an integral part of our EP team, you will be responsible for operating technical equipment during complex EP procedures, assisting physicians in the scrub role, and maintaining a safe work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the performance of all EP invasive and interventional procedures, including EPS, ablation, PM, ICD, lead extraction, and loop recorder procedures.
  • Operate X-ray and digital equipment, ensuring accurate and precise imaging.
  • Maintain the quality and safety of the work environment, adhering to strict protocols and guidelines.
  • Provide pre- and post-op care to patients, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 year of experience as an EP Tech.
  • Ability to perform all roles of the EP Scrub Tech.
  • Knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and electrophysiology.
  • Working knowledge of EP systems equipment.
  • Ability to provide pre- and post-EP teaching explanations of procedures and emotional support to patients and families.
Preferred Qualifications
  • RCIS or RCES certification.
  • Graduate of an accredited Electrophysiology Program.
  • 2-year EP Tech experience.
