Responsibilities
  • Support cardiologists and registered nurses in the execution and technical analysis of procedures performed in the Cardiac Catheter Lab.
  • Integrate education, technical competence, and patient interaction skills to execute safe and precise treatment under the supervision of a cardiologist.
  • Gain confidence and cooperation from patients, their families, and other healthcare providers through competent patient assessment, attentive monitoring, and effective communication.
  • Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures to ensure privacy and safety in delivering optimal patient care.
  • Mentor and train students as needed.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a Cardiovascular Technologist program.
  • Certifications and licensures: BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider, ACLS-Advanced Cardiac Life Support, PALS-Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 6 months, CRT-Certified Radiologic Technologist, OR RHF-Radiology Fluoroscopy, OR ARRT-Radiography-American Register of Radiologic Technologists, OR RCIS-Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist, OR CVT-Certified Cardiovascular Technician.
  • 2 years of recent relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • In-depth knowledge of cardiac catheterization testing, mechanics, and equipment.
  • Ability to interpret various data and instructions, furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • In-depth understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to explain sensitive information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences.
  • Well-developed time management and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize assignments and work within standardized operating procedures and scientific methods to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position with a 12-hour shift, variable days, and rotating weekends. The pay range is $62.69 to $78.35 per hour, and the position is non-exempt.
