Position: Quality Assurance Automation Engineer

Role Summary: The Quality Assurance (QA) Automation Engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring that products meet the highest quality standards. This involves preventing defects and enhancing customer satisfaction through meticulous testing and collaboration with various teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in a dynamic Agile/Scrum environment to deliver high-quality software products.
  • Participate in essential planning sessions to identify quality concerns, testing requirements, and potential project risks early in the process.
  • Formulate Test Strategies and develop comprehensive Test Plans.
  • Maintain and enhance regression test suites while creating tests for new features.
  • Adopt Best Practices in the development of tests for product enhancements and bug resolutions.
  • Collaborate closely with product management and the QA Automation Team to support the construction of the automated testing suite.
  • Oversee multiple testing cycles, including regression, Load Testing, Performance Testing, System Integration Testing (SIT), and End-to-End (E2E) testing across various products.
  • Assist team members in utilizing automation tools effectively.
  • Draft detailed acceptance criteria, test scenarios, and test cases.
  • Identify and document defects within the system.
  • Support development and operations teams in troubleshooting and replicating issues.
  • Create and maintain internal documentation.
  • Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts.
  • Work alongside the QA Lead and Product Leadership to enhance the automated regression suite.
  • Conduct API testing using Postman.

Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years of experience in automation testing.
  • Preferred:
    • 3+ years of experience with JavaScript and/or software testing in a JavaScript-based framework.
    • 1+ years of experience in building or maintaining Cypress tests and frameworks.
    • 3+ years of experience in API testing with Postman.
  • Experience with various authentication methods.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer programming, computer science, or a related field is preferred.
  • Familiarity with JIRA and Scrum methodology is a plus.
  • Experience with testing tools and automation frameworks such as Postman, WebDriverIo, LambdaTest, Mocha, Chai, and Jenkins.
  • Strong analytical skills and independent problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to summarize and discuss testing findings effectively.

Additional Preferences:

  • PMP certification.
  • Experience with Google Suite, MS Office Suite, SalesForce, JIRA, and Confluence.
