Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supervising Mental Health Clinician to join our team at Madera County, CA. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising, assigning, coordinating, reviewing, and participating in the work of staff responsible for providing County Mental Health operations, functions, and activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise, assign, coordinate, review, and participate in the work of staff responsible for providing County Mental Health operations, functions, and activities.
  • Provide clinical supervision of prelicensed clinicians.
  • Ensure adherence to appropriate policies and procedures.
  • Oversee and participate in the preparation, completion, and maintenance of a variety of records and reports.
  • Prepare reports and necessary correspondence.
  • Maintain specialized information and records required by Department functions.
  • Assist with budget development, preparation, and expenditure control.
  • Coordinate work assignments with other County departments, divisions, or functions.
  • Attend conferences, workshops, and training to maintain current awareness of mental health methodologies and issues.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a closely related field.
  • Current license as a Clinical Social Worker, Marriage and Family Therapist, or Professional Clinical Counselor issued by the California State Board of Behavioral Sciences, or a current license as a Psychologist issued by the California Board of Psychology.
  • At least two years of increasingly responsible clinical mental health experience as a Licensed Psychologist, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment and must be able to sit, stand, walk, kneel, crouch, stoop, squat, twist, and lift 25 lbs. The position also requires exposure to cold, heat, noise, outdoors, chemicals, and infectious disease.
