Job Summary

Camarena Health is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) to join our Behavioral Health team. As an LPCC, you will provide high-quality behavioral health services to individuals and groups, addressing a wide range of topics including psychosocial assessment, individual therapy, group therapy, and crisis intervention.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct care to Camarena patients with behavioral health problems or social service needs.
  • Focus on patient support by actively listening to patient issues and requests, recording pertinent information accurately, and remaining responsive at all times to the needs of patients, clinicians, and other team members.
  • Monitor and document patient compliance with behavioral health education plans and problem lists, with appropriate follow-up and documentation of missed appointments.
  • Provide mental health screenings and initial assessments to patients.
  • Coordinate with primary care providers to improve health outcomes.
  • Verbal and written communication to appropriate medical providers regarding evidence of identified high-risk medical or behavioral health issues.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of activities, case management notes, and services provided to each client.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science or Arts in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Certification of Marriage, Family, Child counseling a plus.
  • Current LPCC license in the State of California.
  • One to three years of experience in medical social work or community mental healthcare setting.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills; proven ability to communicate with diverse audiences.
