We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join our team on a temp-to-perm basis.

About the Role

As a Healthcare Assistant, you will work under the direction of registered nurses and licensed practical nurses to provide high-quality patient care. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting patients with daily tasks, taking vital signs, documenting patient data, and maintaining a safe and clean environment.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to lift or assist with lifting patients, and respond effectively in emergency situations. Previous experience as a nursing assistant in a hospital, nursing home, or ambulatory setting is preferred but not required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and eating.
  • Take vital signs and document patient intake/output data.
  • Collect specimens, draw blood, monitor blood glucose levels, and obtain EKGs.
  • Perform safety rounds and provide constant patient observation.
  • Respond to patient call bells and engage patients in meaningful interaction and activities.
