Sales Manager Job Description

The Sales Manager plays a pivotal role in driving sales success at Hennessy Auto Group. This dynamic leader is responsible for guiding a high-performing sales team to deliver exceptional customer experiences and achieve targeted sales and profit goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Forecasting and Goal Setting: Develop and implement sales forecasts, goals, and objectives to drive business growth and profitability.
  • Team Leadership: Hire, train, motivate, and coach sales employees to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay up-to-date on federal, state, and local regulations affecting new-vehicle sales and ensure compliance across the sales team.
  • Scheduling and Staffing: Direct and schedule sales team activities to ensure proper staffing and optimal sales performance.
  • Log Maintenance: Maintain accurate daily logs of sales activities to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Teamwork and Collaboration: Foster a customer-focused sales environment that promotes teamwork and collaboration throughout the sales, delivery, and follow-up process.
  • Policy and Procedure Enforcement: Ensure sales team members understand and follow dealership policies and procedures.
  • Incentive Programs: Develop and implement incentive programs to motivate sales team members and drive sales performance.
  • Quality Standards: Establish and maintain standards for vehicle delivery to customers.
  • Professional Appearance: Maintain a professional appearance and work environment.
Requirements:
  • Leadership and Motivation: Proven leadership and motivational skills to drive sales team performance.
  • Sales Experience: A proven record of sales volume, profit, and customer satisfaction in an automotive sales environment.
  • Management Experience: Previous experience in sales management, preferably in the automotive industry.
  • F&I and Internet Sales: Exceptional understanding of F&I and Internet Sales processes.
  • Georgia Driver's License: Maintain a valid Georgia driver's license with a clean MVR.
  • Background and Drug Screen: Submit to a background and drug screen.
Working Environment and Physical Demands:

Duties are performed throughout the dealer premises, both indoors and outdoors, and on customer test drives. The position requires regular and predictable attendance, including evening hours, weekends, and holidays.
