Position Overview:
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) will be responsible for steering the organization towards achieving its mission, strategic goals, and financial targets, while reporting directly to the Board of Directors. The CEO will lead a diverse management team, overseeing various departments including Conservation, Development, Education, Outreach, and Operations, with a total of 6 direct reports and 24 staff members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Organizational Leadership: Inspire and develop a strong management team, executing strategic initiatives that benefit wildlife and the community.
- Financial Oversight: Lead the annual budget planning process, ensuring sound financial practices and reporting.
- Program Management: Oversee the organization’s operations, ensuring compliance with land trust accreditation and effective management of programs.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate relationships with various stakeholders, effectively communicating the organization’s mission and values.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess a B.S. or B.A. degree, with a preference for advanced degrees in relevant fields. A proven track record in leadership, conservation, and fundraising is essential, along with strong communication skills and a commitment to equity and inclusion.
