Job Summary:

The Crisis Intervention Specialist at Bozeman Health Behavioral Health provides patient-centered, trauma-informed, urgent and emergent behavioral health services in adult and pediatric emergency settings. This role is ideal for licensure candidates seeking to develop their skills in crisis intervention and psychiatric emergencies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide brief psychosocial assessments and crisis interventions to patients in emergency settings
• Collaborate with medical teams to coordinate care and develop discharge plans
• Engage in supervision as required by state licensure and maintain confidentiality in all interactions
• Develop and implement effective safety plans and level of care placements
• Provide behavioral health consultations to support practitioners, family members, and patients

Requirements:

• Master's degree in Social Work or comparable program
• Licensed clinical candidate in the state of Montana (SWLC, PCLC, MFLC)
• American Heart Association BLS certification
• 1-2 years of experience in crisis intervention, psychiatric emergencies, safety planning, and level of care placement (preferred)

Working Conditions:

• May involve exposure to bloodborne pathogens, radiation, chemicals, and infectious diseases
• Requires ability to work in a fast-paced, stressful environment and maintain a professional demeanor
• May require extended hours, flexible scheduling, and on-call availability
