Job Summary

Connections Health Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mental Health Crisis Therapist to join our Mobile Crisis Response Team. As a key member of our team, you will provide life-changing mental health assessments and crisis intervention to individuals experiencing a mental health crisis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Comprehensive Assessments: Independently assess the mental status, risk factors, and clinical needs of individuals in crisis, making critical decisions that can have significant impacts.
  • Law Enforcement Collaboration: Work hand-in-hand with local law enforcement on mental health-related calls, offering expert clinical assessments, gathering essential collateral information, and coordinating with community providers to offer the best possible outcomes.
  • Crisis Intervention: Provide emergency psychotherapy, evaluate the need for hospitalization, and determine the appropriateness of involuntary treatment based on legal criteria.
  • Clinical Expertise: Utilize your knowledge of counseling theories, social work practices, and relevant laws to offer effective crisis counseling, case management, and consultation services. Ensure all interactions are handled with professionalism, confidentiality, and sensitivity.
  • Resource Coordination: Maintain an up-to-date understanding of community resources and make appropriate referrals to support individuals and families in distress.
  • Follow-Up Care: Ensure seamless follow-up care and ongoing support for those in crisis, collaborating with community agencies to provide comprehensive, wrap-around services.
  • Legal Interface: Prepare written reports for county attorneys and courts and provide testimony in civil commitment cases as required.

Requirements

  • Must be licensed or license eligible as LCPC or LCSW in the State of Montana.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and be insurable under company policy.
  • The Company has a mandatory vaccination policy. All successful applicants must be fully vaccinated, including showing proper documentation, or otherwise be exempt pursuant to the Company's exemption process prior to their start date as a condition of employment.
  • Must have valid certification or complete training of the following: First Aid and CPR, De-escalation Training.
